Tag Team

The following covers only the basic rules of how Tag Team differs from normal Constructed play.

With a partner against 2 other players? With a partner against 2 Tamer Challenges? No problem! Tag Team lets you live out your dream of playing your favorite TCG on the same side as your favorite people. Every wonder what it would be like to team up with that person who always crushes you? Now you can!

Quick Start Setup

  • 2 Familiars (can't be the same Familiar)

  • 1 Field (can't be the same Field as your Teammate)

  • 30 card main deck (includes ally and tamer cards)

  • Up to 2 copies of each unique card in deck

  • 1 8-card Judge Deck (only 1 player needs to have this)

  • (optional) 6 card side deck if playing best of 3

Tag Team is played like constructed, but changes the End Game Trigger and turn order!

  • Turn Order starts with the Player who has Initiative, then alternates between Teams.

Ex. If Team 1 is Player A and B, Team 2 is Player C and D. If player A has Initiative, Player C would follow them, then Player B, then Player D.

  • Things that Target "Friendly" Creatures can effect both Players on a Team.

  • Teams combine Power in Fields and total VP. Ex. Team 1 has 11 Power in a Field from 2 Familiars, 1 from Player A and 1 from Player B.

  • The End Game trigger is when 1 Team has over 30 VP or after the 4th Round.
